A little bit about Heather...My name is Heather Johnson, I am 25 and I live in Fayetteville, Ar.
I've been creating webpages since I was 13, back in 2000. I began simply playing around in Geocities, Yahoo!'s answer to simple web page development. Of course, it was all drag and drop, with no clipping at all, and so I began to teach myself HTML, and from there CSS. Somewhere along the way, Javascript joined the party. I graduated from a little town called Hazen, located outside of Little Rock, AR, in 2006 and from there pursued college. Unfortunately, a bad car accident cut short my first semester of college and I chose to give it a small break, recovering. I found work, got into a serious job at a Government agency for several years when I decided to go back to school. To Fayetteville! I took a couple semesters at the University of Arkansas but decided I just couldn't handle the amount of workload I had, school, job, and I spent a good portion of that year very ill. So I left. I do regret it, but that hasn't stopped me from learning. I spend my free time studying web design, graphic design, app development and sometimes even game design. It's true, I have no official training, which may be a deterrent for some, but I am confident in my abilities as a web designer. With my on-going studies, I work towards my certifications, but those things take time, and of course, money. And that's a little bit about myself. |
